Tree contents based on keyword

Friends, I am trying to group graphs for display based on keywords in interface descriptions, so that way I can have a tree that is something like Customers, with a branch called CustomerX, and a branch off of that called All Switch Interfaces. Then populate that branch with any interface that has "...

Thanks!

Re: SYSTEM DSSTATS STATS: Type:DAILY long run-time

That indeed has solved the multiple log entries, but in reality that was just cosmetic, right? Based on my CPU utilization graphs it really was only running the single time per hour. If so, then that brings me back to my original series of concerns: Is this expected behavior and performance? What do...

I've updated to the new version of that file and will report back the results. Thank you.

Re: Remote Poller Philosophy

Personally, I wouldn't put that poller in the DMZ. Reversely, I would put the monitoring station there if anything. Nothing from the DMZ should be able to get into your network. If it gets compromised, you have a potential data loss as well as a possibiltiy of access to internal devices. My two cen...

Remote Poller Philosophy

Friends, I would like to stand up a deployment of Cacti where ALL polling is done by a remote poller that is located in a DMZ, while the "main" system is just for displaying those results (aka: front-end). There will be a firewall separating the front-end from the poller. Is this an acceptable use c...

Re: SYSTEM DSSTATS STATS: Type:DAILY long run-time

Daily update frequency currently set to 1 hour. Going to set it to 2 hours interval and see if that has any impact.

Time zone appears correct in php.ini and on the OS.

SYSTEM DSSTATS STATS: Type:DAILY long run-time

Friends, I am investigating some CPU spikes on my Cacti system (all combined, poller, DB, and presenter) an the only thing that looks a little different is multiple entries in the log for SYSTEM DSSTATS STATS: Type:DAILY that seem to have long run-times. Examples from the log filtered just on "daily...

Re: Added graph to host, graph not showing up in the tree

Okay I don't know what the heck happened but the graphs started showing up in the host. I reproduced the issue, creating new graphs, adding them to the device template, pushing the device templte update to the devices, then adding the graph to the devices. They didn't show up in the tree right away....

Re: Added graph to host, graph not showing up in the tree

Without having your data that could be tricky to replicate. Is there any chance you can send a database dump to [email protected].net and include the host id/name and graph id/names for the working/missing item, and the obviously which tree/node it should appear under? That is a very generous offer,...

Re: Added graph to host, graph not showing up in the tree

When you say that it does not show up under the host on the tree, do you mean that you added the host to the tree but when you click on the host it does not show? Yes, as normally all I have to do is add a host to a spot on the tree, and then when I click on the host all the graphs for that host sh...

Added graph to host, graph not showing up in the tree

Friends, I added a new graph for the local cacti host, but it does not show up under that host in the graph tree. I can see the graph in Management|Graphs, it has data in it and looks okay. I've also added that graph template to the Management|Devices entry for the host. I've deleted it and recreate...

Suggestions for monitoring ASR9K running IOS-XR?

Any chance one of of you fine folks has a working template for monitoring Cisco ASR9k for CPU, Memory, and environmentals that you'd be willing to share, or suggestions on the best way to proceed?
TIA,
Eric
