Re: Cacti weathermap is not editable or read only mode

I don't recommend just making files 777 permissions. Now anyone can write over them.

But it's your system.

Re: Weathermap - Cacti 1.x compatible release available for testing

In the weathermap settings (misc tab) there is a “quiet mode” option that removes a few more log messages. Does that help?

Re: Weathermap - Cacti 1.x compatible release available for testing

Cacti helpfully shows messages in reverse order. The two above it in your screenshot are after it, if you look at the times. i.e. the map was actually written. You can confirm by looking at the file dates in the output/ folder.

What issue are you actually seeing?

Re: Cacti weathermap is not editable or read only mode

Make the file permissions and ownership of the new file match the old one. Most likely the new one is owned by you, and the old one is owned by apache. Whatever that user is, use chown to change the ownership of the new file.

Re: Weathermap - Cacti 1.x compatible release available for testing

This message has been there for years... the key part is If this is the last message Basically, when PHP hits its memory_limit, it just dies, so this is just before the point where weathermap will use a bunch of memory. If it isn't the last message for that particular run, you are all good. This was...

Re: create weathermap to unmanaged devices

Good point! Although if you are monitoring the LAN-side interfaces of the ISP-supplied router, you shouldn't see that trafffic (if they have configured it properly!). You will see variation in the maximum, I guess, because there will be some amount taken up by junk traffic that you can't see. (years...

Re: create weathermap to unmanaged devices

As long as you have one switch port that links from your managed switch to the ISP device, just treat the ISP device as part of the "wire between sites". So you graph your switches, and use the traffic data for that in Weathermap. Weathermap doesn't actually care where the data comes from, or if the...

Nope, no need - I'll diff to see if it could be used with the current version (quite a big difference)

Great that this exists though! :D

Re: PHP error Weathermap version 0.98a

Still can't think of anything in Weathermap that would cause this. Data for graphs is collected before maps are updated. Definitely not when it fixes itself after 20 minutes :-) (Actually - next time you get one of these gaps, check if the weathermap map files are still updated during that time. Loo...

Re: Show bandwidth label without decimals

Had to do a quick test to make sure this actually worked... it's not super intuitive! NODE n1 POSITION 100 100 NODE n2 POSITION 400 400 LINK l1 INBWFORMAT {link:this:bandwidth_in:%.0k} OUTBWFORMAT {link:this:bandwidth_out:%.0k} TARGET static:12.2M:17.8M NODES n1 n2 So you are saying, "using the K,G,...

Re: PHP error Weathermap version 0.98a

After the 10-15 minutes, do you have a gap in your map? Usually this kind of thing will show errors in the cacti.log - there's a good troubleshooting guide as part of the Cacti manual for it. (for the PNG error, I have a tool on my ubuntu system called pngcheck - pngcheck weathermap/images/*.png che...

Re: PHP error Weathermap version 0.98a

Iccp is a colour management feature of PNG, do that would be an error while reading a PNG. I guess one of your icons or background images might be corrupted. I can't see how this would stop graphs being drawn. It might break some maps, if it's a fatal error, but that's all... Definitely can't see ho...

Re: weathermap maps config files

I would guess that you need to adjust the maximum number of allowed connections in /etc/mysql/my.cnf - there are notes about this in the spine docs.

But I am definitely not a spine expert. :-)

Yes. That should stop the poller from running weathermap.
