Re: Cacti WeatherMap Migration

It's someone else's legit question from 2015... I thought it was a weird set of versions for 2019 :-) https://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=54136 (But my first guesses this time were spot on, too :D ) That first post was also something else originally (you answered a question) and then edite...

Re: Cacti WeatherMap Migration

Not sure why you wouldn't at least move to latest 0.8.8 (h)... and latest Weathermap too (0.98a). Rule 1 - look in the logs. You will probably have warnings with WEATHERMAP in the line for each target in the cacti.log. My guess - the files are in a different directory. If your new cacti has a differ...

Re: node color change (up/down) wathermap on libreNMS

Weathermap counts the '-' results, and uses that to calculate the packet loss. Later on in that log, you can see it's returning 0,100 - i.e. 100% packet loss, because fping returned "- - - - -" Right at the end, you can also see that it selected 'ff0000' - that is red - as the final colour for the o...

Re: node color change (up/down) wathermap on libreNMS

Also, running from the command-line with --debug will give you a lot more log output, including what data the datasource plugin is getting.

Re: Cacti 1.2.5 and weathermap standalone

(also, to explain your actual error - ext-posix is a PHP extension. npm installs Javascript modules for nodejs. It will never work. To enable PHP extensions, usually you edit php.ini, if they are standard extensions like posix or gd)

Or npm!

If you just download the release version zip, you don't need to do anything with node, npm, composer, bower, phpunit, make etc.

(you might need to enable the php-gd module, but run

Code: Select all

php check.php
and it will tell you if you do)

Re: Cacti 1.2.5 and weathermap standalone

To run weathermap, you don't need to touch composer. Just download the zip as usual, from the releases section. Composer (and npm) is there to install all the junk I use to test Weathermap and build the final zips. The only php extensions that weathermap itself needs are php-gd, php-snmp (if you use...

Re: Artificial ICON size relative to Node Size

That's an interesting idea. Although it's making a feature out of a bodge, really. I guess the real request would be to be able to style the label box? Or do you use different colours for the label and the AICON? I like to have all my AICON boxes the same size regardless of the content, so they line...

Thanks :-) It's still moving forward slowly.

Re: Cacti-Weathermap-Export

I still don't think that will get you traffic numbers from Cacti, but if you are doing this by clicking on links in weathermap, just do this instead:

Code: Select all

 awk 'BEGIN {FS="=" } /INFOURL/ {print $NF;}' < weathermap.conf > export.txt

Re: Cacti-Weathermap-Export

No, you get Data Source IDs . Those are not the same. (But probably they ARE what you want for your other script - the graph ID is mainly useful for building a URL to show the graph, not so much for getting actual numbers). If you really really want graph IDs (I still think you don't). There is some...

Re: Cacti-Weathermap-Export

1) Weathermap reads data sources, not graphs. (there is not a 1:1 mapping between the two - you can have a graph aggregating multiple data sources in Cacti, or two graphs showing the same data source in different presentations, or with different CDEFs) 2) It only reads what you tell it to. i.e. You ...
