Re: Missing old data in graphs/rrds

You didn't cite your cacti version, but I can tell it's an 0.8.x variant. Some old versions of cacti, packaged by others, did something stupid and improperly defined the RRA configuration leading to graphs that would loose data after only a small period of time. Cacti 1.x has a better design when it...

Re: RRD files not created for Get Script Data (Indexed) sources

Generally, it due to :

1) File permissions, but you could not have installed with that
2) Crontab not running or crontab settings wrong
3) Selecting spine data collector even though you have not installed it.

Reviewing your Cacti Log file should tell you at least half of what you need to know.

Re: Graphs 'reset' after upgrade to 1.2.8

The best way to upgrade in my opinion is to simply cp -rp over the entire install. Your RRDfiles will be preserved. Likely you were using another process, and simply left your RRDfiles in the old location. They need to stay put.

Re: Change Graph Title

If you edit the Graph Template and check the override for the Graph Title there, your graphs titles will all be over rideable. However, I'm not certain what will happen on a Re-apply suggested naming.

Re: Latency during DB Update

First, the memory table is a bit dangerous. In the past, it was beneficial, but if you are using something like a recent MariaDB 10.2+, and you follow our recommendations, InnoDB is just fine. Additionally, there have been recent enhancements in version 1.2.24+ that improve performance. Generally sp...

Re: Plugin Flowview not show detail

Hopefully you are using the latest stable/tag and not the development version. It's still under development. In the legacy version, you flow base directory must be created. Then, when you add listeners with the pattern selected, flow-capture will create sub directories such as day of the week, month...

Re: Guest user -> Tree/Graphs not displayed with Modern theme

First, glad you have been using Cacti for that long. Wondering how the new interface is looking for you. Second, upgrade to 1.2.28, it's the latest stable. Then, I guess we would need to see some screen shots of the graph permissions page for the guest account.

Re: Cacti not reading all output of one Script

1) Upgrade to latest stable (1.2.28)
2) You script, when using spine, needs to output everything in one print/echo. If you use multiple, you get bad results.

If you upgrade to 1.2.28 of Cacti, you also have to update spine. Very important when upgrading from 1.1.x to 1.2.x.

Re: traffic graph troubble

What is in your Cacti log? Did you actually create the graphs? What device template are you using? Is the device reporting up in Cacti? When you goto the Console > Management > Graphs do you find the graphs there? Looks like you are completely new. Follow your nose. It's not that complicated, and if...

Re: Latency during DB Update

Really not nearly enough information to go on here. You should post from statistics from your cacti log, also, you might want to turn on the slow query log to understand better what is going on.
