Re: Cacti 1.2.6 is incredibly slow to display graphs

I found a complaint about Boost slowing down after the upgrade to 1.2.6 (https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/issues/2929) and then looked at my settings where I saw the same thing happening. These number keep growing and growing and I wonder if that is what is making our server so slow (it does have 40 c...

Cacti 1.2.6 is incredibly slow to display graphs and Boost seems to have stopped

We were running 1.2.4 and when you click on a folder in the graph tree, the graphs would all be shown immediately (10 graphs per page). We upgraded to 1.2.6 and it takes minutes for the same 10 graphs to be displayed if they are even displayed at all. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing...

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

We think it is because we are using a symlink to point to the new directory and php-fpm had already cached the link (which had been pointing to the old location when it was cached) and restarting it caused php-fpm to grab the updated symlink.

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

Turns out that php-fpm was the problem. Once restarted, the installation continued as normal.

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

I am totally out of ideas on this one. Where we are now: httpd.conf points to /usr/local/cacti symlink = /usr/local/cacti-1.2.4 -> /usr/local/cacti path_webroot = /usr/local/cacti-1.2.4 Cacti 1.2.4 WORKS symlink = /usr/local/cacti-1.2.4 -> /usr/local/cacti path_webroot = /usr/local/cacti Cacti 1.2.4...

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

That then got me to this screen. Definitely still something off given the references to both 1.2.4 and 1.2.6. When I click in the box to accept the agreement, I get a spinner and then it just comes back to the same page with the box unchecked.

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

No, we are not doing that. What we are doing is what we have always done. The apache.conf file points to /usr/local/cacti. The new version is extracted to /usr/local/cacti/1.2.6. There is a symlink that was pointed to /usr/local/cacti-1.2.4 and it is updated to point to /usr/local/1-2.6. Then we go ...

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

I did find this in the cacti.error.log [Tue Sep 10 11:58:43.341035 2019] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 34557] [client w.x.y.z:49881] AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Notice: Undefined property: Installer::$automationRange in /usr/local/cacti-1.2.4/lib/installer.php on line 883\nPHP message: PHP Stack ...

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

I executed that command (turns out it had to be settings with a lowercase "s"). mysql> DELETE FROM settings WHERE name like 'install_%'; Query OK, 41 rows affected (0.21 sec) Unfortunately, now we are back to the very first set of images where the first page shows up and then goes to the blank secon...

Re: Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

I do not see any. Now we are seeing a different issue after the server was rebooted and we try and go from 1.2.4 to 1.2.6. This is the first screen

Re: THOLD Template email updates affect all templates

I am having the exact same problem with Cacti 1.2.4 and thold 1.2.4 (as well as Cacti 1.2.6 and thold 1.3.2). I have tried creating a brand new threshold template (in case there was something wrong with the old one) and the new template causes the same behavior. I submitted a bug at https://github.c...

Unable to upgrade from 1.2.4 to either 1.2.5 or 1.2.6

Whether we try to upgrade from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 or 1.2.6 we get the behavior below. Go to cacti-st-01/cacti and receive a prompt for login credentials. Login, and then this screen is shown (we do have JavaScript enabled): screen1.png The progress bar goes all the way across the top of the screen and t...

Downloaded and built Spine 1.2.4 but it is still old version

I downloaded Spine 1.2.4 from https://www.cacti.net/downloads/spine/cacti-spine-1.2.4.tar.gz and then compiled and made it, but for some reason it is still 1.2.3 (spine binary size and date changed after compile). Is the wrong version linked? The standard steps were followed: sudo ./bootstrap sudo ....
