Re: SNMP - Get Mounted Partitions trunkating hrStorageDescr

I had this same issue. You need to change "Setup->Visual->Data Queries->Maximum Field Length" to more than 15 characters

;) Yeap, that's correct. That is why I installed test cacti server and I'm doing experiments on them. I will try to complicate my “poller” and getting data for poller from mysql database (IP address, host number, ODI and rra filename) and see if this will fully replace original cacti poller. Is ...

Heh, I already know it that this is connected (problem with getting SNMP by cacti from my router and gaps). But why it works on my very simply "poller" ? That is a question for which one I'm looking answer in this subject. I'm trying to find is this is cacti poller problem or maybe problem of my rou...

I mentioned about it earlier in my post: 10/19/2009 11:20:04 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[2] DS[9] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: U 10/19/2009 11:20:04 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[2] DS[9] SNMP: v2: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, dsname: traffic_in, oid: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.103, output: U...

Nothing unusual, except problems with getting data from device. I wrote very simply "poller" in bash which one polling router, grabbing data and updating rra files. Works like a charm. No snmp errors and no gaps in the graphs. That is mean that cacti poller can have some problems (I tried spine as w...

snmpbulkwalk command works without any interrupts. So so far I checked grabbing data from router using snmpget, snmpwalk and snmpbulkwalk and I didn’t notice any problem, but on cacti graphs I still see gaps and in cacti.log file there are still information and cacti couldn’t receive data from r...

I wrote short script which one each 5 minutes will be asking host for ODI .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6 and .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10 using snmpbulkwalk command.
And I will see if there will be any errors.
I didn’t notice any problem grabbing data from router using snmpget command.

I don't know if this host doesn't like snmpbulkwalk because I didn't check it.
But I will check. Thanks for information.
This router which I trying to monitor is a Cisco 7606

Does Cacti asking host using similar way as snmpbulkwalk do ?

This script has been run 24 hours and I didn’t notice any snmp timeout of other problem with receiving dat...

Unfortunately increasing timeout for snmp didn't help.
I’m trying to write some smell script which will be chasing cacti.log file and look for snmp problem, and re-run snmpget to collect data and update rrd file.
