I may have chugged a few too many beers since I last looked at all of this (I've had to back-burner the monitoring project for a few months), but I have fuzzy memories of wondering the same thing about the NEGINF function. I believe that I tried it without that and found that the graph looked as if ...

Doh! I'm sorry Bill... I misread that to mean he wanted all data from when the shop opened on Monday to when it closed on Friday for some reason. 8-5 daily does make it trickier! Got to thinking that Threshold has a lot of the functionality already built in to accomplish a lot of this... I just post...

I had an idea for Thold... Was wondering if the authors migtht consider it. It seems to me that this could be fairly easily turned into an automated reporting tool of sorts... A user in another thread was needing a graph for the boss of activity 8:00 - 5:00 M - F. Got to thinking that Thold already ...

I was never quite able to get the special data sources like that to work like they should. For me, they always added up too many data sources, but I admit that I was doing something funky with the particular graph I was making. If you can't get around it, it can be done manually without TOO much eff...

I don't think there's a pre-canned "workweek" preset, but you can just change the "from" and "to" dates at the very top of your graph window to whatever time/date range you are after. To see the total amount of data passing the network during this period, make sure that you are using one of the grap...

FWIW, I'm on 8.6f too. I had considered the gigabit ints being the problem since almost all of the server NIC's I had been talking about were gig. I have noticed my prob above on at least one 100Mb NIC though. Definitely most were gigs however.

Hey Richard, I've been having something similar happen. Maybe I gave you some bad advice in there somewhere...... If so, I'm afraid I don't know where though because I've been unable to correct it. Here's what's been happening with me... I will go in and create a new graph using a template that I ma...

Yes, do have a ping script up and running. And yes, it's a Windows install too. For your script, I know I've got to be doing something stupid since it works from the command line. For the SNMP one... Who knows. I think I may just need to back-burner it for a day or two and take a fresh start on it a...

mwestern... cool idea! I'm trying to get both yours and the hrSystemUptime one going. Today just isn't my day b/c I'm striking out on both. Yours works great if I run it from a command prompt. All of the hosts I've added yield an error like this though when done through Cacti 07/28/2005 02:10:38 PM ...

I added another server to the graphs to get another one to play with... I verified that it was graphing wrong and then cleared the poller cache. No change on the graph. Not quite sure what you mean by refresh the data query... Sorry. I'll be glad to try it though if you could give me a push in the r...

Your graph didn't show up, so I don't know if this is the case or not, but if you set an HRULE at say 100. If you have the "auto-scale" check box selected in your graph template and say the highest peak that your graphed data got to was 75, the graph will only auto-scale up to 75. So the vertical la...
