Re: Strange Editor Issue

I did the following and now I'm getting somewhere. I disabled weathermap in cacti. Uninstalled weathermap in cacti. Deleted the weathermap folder from the plugins folder. Dropped any weathermap related tables and weathermap entries in the plugin_hooks table from the cacti database. Downloaded 0.98a-...

Re: Strange Editor Issue

I'm not sure which, all I see is 0.98a on the editor page. I downloaded it years ago. I tried test4 and get the same things in the console. Could it have to do with a package that was upgraded when I upgraded Ubuntu from 14.04 to 16.04? I wish I still had my VM snapshot to revert. I never thought to...

Re: Strange Editor Issue

Thanks for the prompt reply. Oops. I'm using Weathermap Version 0.98a. I cleared the console history and then went to the main editor page, selected a .conf file and got the following errors: TypeError: jQuery(...).unload is not a function editor.js:44:1 <anonymous> http://cacti.lan/cacti/plugins/we...

[SOLVED] Strange Editor Issue

I'm really scratching my head with this one. This all started after I upgraded from 14.04 LTS to 16.04 LTS. I'm able to access the editor from within cacti and also from outside cacti. I can see all my .conf files and can open them. That's where things get strange. Once I open a .conf file I can't c...

Syslog Alert feature request.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have more options to trigger syslog alerts?

Example:

If hostname equals "server1" and message contains "message text" then send email to [email protected]

Re: Synology NAS

I don't use a special template. I just use standard Linux compatible graphs that come with Cacti. I use the "SNMP - Generic OID Template" to graph device temperatures. The following OID's work on both my DS2411+ and DS1812+: Chassis - 1.3.6.1.4.1.6574.1.2.0 Disk 1 - 1.3.6.1.4.1.6574.2.1.1.6.0 Disk 2...

Re: delete link not working

OK - and are there any errors in the Apache error log when you try? One thing I have a mail about for this: change if(isset($map->links[target])) { $log = "delete link ".$target; unset($map->links[$target]); $map->WriteConfig($mapfile); } break; to if(isset($map->links[$target])) { $log = "delete l...

Browsers: Firefox 36.0.1 and Chrome 41.0.2272.104 (64-bit) (On both OS's)

bigrow wrote:Hi Folks

has anyone else have this same problem with the delete links?

thanks

I have the same problem. I usually just edit the config manually via the command line to remove the link. But it sure would be great if we could get this fixed.

Re: Weathermap Editor is having issues

Howie wrote: Yes - it is a lot more obvious in the next version.

Basically there were a series of security issues with the editor, and the easiest way to deal with them was to really nail down what the filenames are allowed to look like.
Makes sense. The more secure the better :)

Re: Intro page/console homepage

Hi, I tried to prepare new intro page with more information. I think, that any "summary screen" is missing in cacti. There is small preview of: - hosts (up, down, ...) - Thresholds (trigged, breached, ..) - statistics of datasources and templates - Poller statistics - Current time check - Failed lo...

Re: Weathermap Editor is having issues

Howie wrote:OK, and what is the file you are editing called?

It needs to end in .conf

Thank you!! :)

That did it. I didn't have the .conf on the end.

I didn't need it when I was using version 0.97a with Cacti 0.8.7g. Is it something new?
