To create a summation of multiple graphs, try Aggregate plugin.

Cacti can't use data from point 2 because it a string format. Cacti dosn't create variable from data sourse from field "Internal Data Source Name". Ah, indeed. RRDtool can store numeric values only. String data will be regarded as unknown value (NaN = Not a Number), so we can't use it from datasour...

Modifying parameter (data template, RRAs, etc.) on Cacti GUI does not affect to existing RRD files. You should re-create graphs and datasources. I guess my main issue now is the units of the values being plotted. I just don't understand why numbers such as 13 m (milli) show up when the real number should be 13. As shown in the graph, that's "Requests per Second" -- these datasources were defined as COUNTER. ds[error_count].type = "COUNTER" ...
