Re: Changing retention period of Graphs

This would require completely modifying the rrd file, so yes, it would be a complete rebuild of the graphs.

Re: Tree is broken

What version? This was working before, but I now see it causing issues with mine also. I will take a look and see if I can figure out what is going on.

Re: Trouble Logging in

Did you install from source or a package? What version of Cacti?

We don't package it ourselves, so if it is a package, then we would have to figure out who supplied it and what they set for the default.

Re: CMDPHP PHP ERROR in log

Looks like the old Cacti (was probably a CactiEZ install) was using a specialized ss_host_disk.php script (the one I wrote) that included a percent datasource item. What looks to have happened is when upgrading, the resources for this template was updated to the latest, but the script wasn't. So the...

Re: Log file not available for writing problem with non SElinux host

Do a "show tables" to ensure all the tables are still there. Then look at the settings table. There are most likely going to be a lot of entries you will have to change if you moved the Cacti folder.

Re: Log file not available for writing problem with non SElinux host

Check your setting (Settings >> Paths). That shouldn't be a relative path, but should instead be the full path to the file.

Re: Zoom Issue after upgrade to 1.2.8

Should be resolved in 1.2.9 already. Several other things about Zoom were fixed also. https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/blob/1.2.x/CHANGELOG -issue#3150: When using Time Graph View, Zooming can cause errors -issue#3165: Zoom Looses its focus after all graphs on page rendered -issue#3166: Every time you...

Re: No data for None of the graph

If that table goes missing, then something is really, really wrong. We have made a change in 1.2.X to help combat this though.

Re: More on Boost - running - seems OK - no data in graph

Typically this can be a permissions (or selinux) issue. You need to ensure that both the user that the webserver runs as, and the poller runs as, has permission to write to all the RRD files.

This would be best be suited to a plugin and should be doable using existing hooks.

Re: Latency during DB Update

The log generally isn't going to show much at its default setting, you would have to turn up the verbosity to start seeing any relevant. Are the underlying SAN Disks platters or SSDs? Are you utilizing "On-demand RRD Update Settings" (Settings >> Performance)? That is normally how you combat Disk La...

Re: one new problem...

Ya, I would double check the mysql table "settings" first to verify it actually is set in there. Did you also click Save on the Thold Settings page? As the value it shows actually defaults to what is set for "settings_from_email". If you don't click Save on it, then it never actually sets that thoug...
