Re: iDirect(VSAT) network using cacti as NMS

Hello CCNAj I tried to use the attached templates to retrieve the Modems IP Traffic, RF C/N but not success can help me? Hany Hi Hany, Just checking you have access to the NMS? as you cannot pull any SNMP data off the modems directly...only through the NMS. The CDEF that Thuo detailed above is the ...

Re: Cisco interface operational status monitor

Hey All, Thanks to all who have gone before and made it work. I like this template but one thing annoys me.... if up = 1 is up then down should = -1. This way the graph can show almost like a gauge. I tried to do this by using a CDEF but I am just too new to understand where and if this is possible....

Re: Idirect connectivity with Cacti.

Hi Hkarim, Couple of things to guide you in the right direction. 1: Depending on your idirect package version - you will 90% not be able to get SNMP info from the modem itself. iDirect has set it up so that all that goes to the NMS. You can pull that info from the NMS but you will need access to it ...

Re: GPS Maps for Cacti

For whatever reason, it seems like you have a degree symbol in the latitude coordinate. That's probably breaking the function. Bullseye! -- thanks it is up and running perfectly now. Think I copied it across from Google-Earth and just didn't spot it when troubleshooting. Many Thanks and once again ...

Re: GPS Maps for Cacti

Thanks SpiffyDev for the update. It is working on 3/4 of my setups but one is persistently a PITA. It is also the only one running on Windows 2008 and behind a bluecoat (which has been exempted though). The problem exists across all browsers and on the server itself. Overlay is turned off and no mod...

Re: iDirect(VSAT) network using cacti as NMS

And one more thing, Its hard to extract those idirect mib file and interpret them, so i made work easier for you... With this you will not struggle much - if you know how to. Place it in the resources/snmp_queries folder and call it using data query. Better still extract and create a separate .xml ...

Re: iDirect(VSAT) network using cacti as NMS

HI, any one explain me Why i don't get any output from my NMS server? I tried in both CMD as well as CACTI as follows; C:\usr\bin>snmpwalk -c public -v 1 -On x.x.x.x .1.3.6.1.4.1.13732.1.4.3.1.2 C:\usr\bin> Data Query Debug Information + Running data query [10]. + Found type = '3' [SNMP Query]. + F...

Re: iDirect(VSAT) network using cacti as NMS

Hi Dharmesh, Can I ask quickly if you built a new Graph Template for this Data Query or are you trying to associate the standard SNMP interface graphs for this one? If you haven't built a Graph then you need to - and associate it with the RX and TX values - to get all the values you will need 6 valu...

Re:

Looks great, been hoping for a plugin such as this! :D How about an option to default to map type ie either Map, Satellite or Hybrid? Thanks again. Found a partial solution for this as I was really in need of the Terrain Layer from here : http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/v2...

Using a script to capture netstat when SNMP is disabled

Hey All, Hoping this is possible and I am not stretching the limits here (definitely stretching my knowledge boundary).. There are custom linux servers on my network with SNMP disabled and no way to enable them. I can SSH into the box and run netstat -i to get the Interface Stats. Was wondering if I...

Re: How do I decrease poller time?

I was having the same problem with a high latency location with more than 10 graphs it started to timeout.... Played around and realized that Cacti usually spreads the 1 device per poll so a workaround I did was split the host. I had 50 graphs on one host - and timeouts - only 3 poller processes wou...
