Poller keeps terminating prematurely

Hi everyone. I've been plagued with a poller problem for quite sometime now and I've been unsuccessful in diagnosing it's cause. I am running Cacti 0.8.7i on a 64-bit Linux system and the poller keeps terminating before it's 5 minute window has expires, usually around the 1 minute, 10 second mark. B...

Geesh, here's an old post come'n back to life. :) I don't use Ubuntu but my understanding is that they use apt for their package management so all the package names are most likely different, also I don't know if the directory structure is similar so the configuration files may be in different locat...

Okay I found a couple mistakes that I fixed up. I was referencing an old SQL file when importing the main Cacti tables into MySQL and my installation of the plugin architecture was....well lets just say it was missing some stuff. I've updated the online copy, so if you've already downloaded i...

[HOWTO] Fedora 10 Cacti Installation

Hey all, it's been a long time since I wrote my first Fedora Core 7 Cacti Installation guide and it's horribly out of date. Since the latest Cacti 0.8.7d RPM packages just made their way into the Yum repositories this past week I thought it was about time that I create a new Fedora 10 Cacti Installa...

Depending on your environment this might be possible. I have a PHP-Nuke site up on a Linux server that uses GMail to send out it's messages. I had to do a lot of monkeying with the sendmail configuration but I finally got it to work. I'll check to see if I'm using SSL SMTP though. I'm pretty sure I ...

On your Cacti server can you run this command, snmpget -v2c -c community_string ip_address .1.3.6.1.3.100.5 Replace community_string with the SNMP community string (password) you have configured for your mail server and ip_address with the IP address of your email server. And post here what the resu...

Did you modify your snmpd.conf file on your mail server and add in the lines for passing the values contained in the counter file?

Posting to the documentaiton section?

I'd like to post some documentation up on installation of Cacti using packages with the Fedora Linux distribution but I'm having some problems. I've created an account in the documentation section but after that I'm a bit lost. How do I start creating a new document, upload images, etc. Thanks for t...

I'm running Cacti 0.8.7b and I'm using an ASA template that is basically a copy of the PIX template that is available in the forums here. I'm getting stats on all the interfaces, the CPU, memory, and number of active sessions. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/Rabid_Lurker/cacti/fwsm_cpu.jpg ht...
