Re: Graphs page doesn't display anything

Thanks for the suggestion, but no, that's not my problem.

The header displays, the "Graphs" and "Logged in as" line displays -- but that's it.
I assume I should see a menu on the left side of the screen, but there's nothing.

Graphs page doesn't display anything

Fresh installation; the problem is the Graphs tab isn't showing graphs. This is the error message that I get in the Apache logs, if this helps... Re: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size

Crap! I already had a MySQL server setup, so I ended up skipping over too much.

Thanks!

Hi dgamble, thx for your great CPU-Script. I use the one for the 2.6 linux kernel. It works great but one thing, I get a "nan" at the "Wait" value (but this is very importend for me :)). What can I do? Regards, Oliver I believe that net-snmp returns that object only as of version 5.2, which is prob...

I could not find my answer in their documentation.
Maybe it was explained in a way I did not follow. :)

I sent a message to their user mailing list. Thanks.
Tobias could use a nice phpBB forum on his website!

Logic Behind Averaging

Let's say I'm collecting 5 min (300 sec) data points. My next database is the 30 min (1800 sec) average. Assuming good data for 30 minutes, I see that Cacti sums up the data points and divides that by 6 points. What if just 1 of the data points has NaN for its value. What's the logic now? Sum the kn...

CPU Usage > 100%

We occasionally see CPU usage graphs peaking over 100%. I'm investigating this and then I found this under "man top". CPU states Shows the percentage of CPU time in user mode, system mode, niced tasks, iowait and idle. (Niced tasks are only those whose nice value is positive.) Time spent in niced ta...

I'm still not sure if you can pass parameters to a Data Query?
I was hoping someone was going to reply to confirm it with me.

"Viewing the current and previous week together" http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/doc/rrdgraph_examples.en.html The RRDtool absolutely supports this SHIFT function. That's why I was suggesting the feature be added to Cacti. I'm able to create these graphs by hand with RRDtool, but ...

Do we, the lowly users, get any clues on which features
you might be considering? I'd be curious to know if my
request is going to get any thought, if it was just tossed,
or if there's any additional information I can provide that
might help in the decision/developmental making process.

My script will output the data correctly. No problem. It matches the output of an existing script right now. But instead of just "index" to gather the index stats, for instance, I need to sent "index user pass". So it knows what user/pass to use to access the device. The idea is that I want this cus...

Ok, I have a Data Query that takes a couple parameters of input.
I based it off the unix partitions sample, but tweaked it for a few
more inputs so I can use it for several purposes. Just need to find
out how I get Cacti to use command line parameters with it now...

I notice that path_webroot in the settings table always gets reset back to the literal path of Cacti instead of a symbolic directory name that I created. Looks like the poller.php script must reset that field for some reason. It does not reset the hundres of poller_item entries, so that is good news...

I ended up exporting the table, then a global search/replace,
and then dropping the table and importing that updated data.
Not sure if that's the "correct" way, but it appears to work. :)
