Re: Availreport

I'm sorry, but I don't have a lot of experience with PHP on Windows, and only have experience with Cacti on Linux.

Wish I could help, but I wouldn't know how to solve your problem.

Perhaps someone else here might help him?

Re: Newbie question, understanding of initial protocol runni

Cacti can use several data gathering methods, since it works as a front end for RRDTool, which is kind of a universal data gathering/presentation tool. SNMP is one of the possible methods for gathering data with Cacti, and possibly the most used one, since we're mostly talking about computer network...

Re: strtotime issue or something?

Log seems normal to me.

Again, how are the permissions on your <cacti>/rra folder? If it's not 777, .rra files won't be created and thus there will be no graphs.

Re: not triggering on 100% loss ping

I don't have access to any Cacti box right now, but the Downed Hosts area has a column that displays something like "Event Count", does it not? If that's so, divide that number by your polling interval (in minutes, IIRC) and you'll have the total amount of times the poller (or is it Thold at this po...

Re: Availability Graph Template [Based on uptime]

Note that the poller works, by default, every 5 minutes. I'm not entirely familiar with how data normalization would work in this case, but what's probably happening is that such downtimes weren't long enough to be relevant to/captured by the poller process. That's just my reasoning. I could be wron...

Re: Cant edit down device.

How long do you usually wait before closing the browser window? The time it takes me to access downed devices may very between 3 to sometimes around 30 seconds or even more. I've gotten used to it. The first I'd look at are your server's specs and make sure it's not too busy handling devices to deal...

Re: Availability

Sorry for the delay. I've been busy quite busy lately.

Yeah, that error does sound strange. I don't have an Ubuntu box, and haven't had those errors.

I could try to setup up a box over the weekend and reproduce your situation, but I'm not sure I'll be able to find the same errors.

Re: Availability

Most likely you'll need to install a few dependencies first. Try going through this tutorial and tell me how it works:

Ah, I understand.

Try |query_ifDescr| and see how it works.

Re: Miss information on title of Graph

Please take a look at this: http://forums.cacti.net/about12752.html

Long story short, it seems you would want to add "|query_ifName|" (without quotes) to your graph/template title.

Re: Problem with cluster disk partitions

I've changed the re-index method. I'm guessing we'll perform a failover within the next couple days and see how it works.

Will post updates on this as they occur.

Thanks a ton, guys.

one is a plugin, the other is a graph template. Both have the same goal.

Re: Problem with cluster disk partitions

@phalek Uhm, that makes sense. I've never tackled scripting related to disk indexes. Do you still have some of those scripts you made? Would you be willing to share them, part of their logic or the resoures I must go after, or at least point me in the right direction? @BSOD I've wondered about that,...
