Ok, that's a pain to have to change everything manually :/

What do you mean by "update the new display names."?

Thanks for your help

Open up an item and take a look at how the CDEF is used.
Sorry I don't understand how to do that.

Hi, I added the following: |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifIP| / |query_ifName| (|query_ifDescr|) in the titles of the Graph Template - Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, Total Bandwidth) section. I guess it will work for the new graphs I create but what about all the graphes I have? And what ar...

Hi, When I edit my graph template in: Templates/Graph Templates I just have in the Graph Template section: Title: A checkbox ticked with "Use per-graph value (ignore this value)" and in the text field: |host_description| - Traffic So I have not in this template the |query_ifName| (|query_ifDescr|) I...

Hi,

I just unchecked the autoscale feature for the CPU Utilisation graphs. It's working fine. Thanks a lot.

I guess it's a little bit different for the interface ones, do I need to specify a maximum size for them or do they autosize refering to the bandwidth of the link?

Cheers,

Chris

Display entire scale of the graphs

Hi, I was wondering whether it would be possible to display the graphs with a maximum being the maximum speed of the bandwidth or 100% usage of the cpu rather than the maximum reached value. I think it must be a problem of scale, but do not know how to change that. It's a bit annoying to look at you...

Ok thanks.

How can I change that so that all the graphs display the description of the interfaces and not have to change that manually on all the devices?

And otherwise some of my graphs do display |query_ifname| instead of the value, why?

Cheers,

Chris

Hi, Sorry but I am not sure I understand everything. So you overwrite all your cacti files and THEN go on the upgrade page and update your cacti version? But by overwriting your new files with the old ones, won't there be any problems? Your method would work if you are onyl modifying cacti and not y...

Display Interface Alias (IF-MIB) as well as Name (IF-MIB)

Hello, I would like to know how to display on the titles of my graphs the alias of the interface (or its description) as well as its name. It's definitively better to know immediately that the traffic on the interface Se0.102 - Link to Boston - of a router is huge rather than seeing only that there ...

Hello, Thanks for your reply, but I still have some questions: "2) Run the weekly backup job for cacti (regardless if its been a week or not). This backs up the entire cacti folder plus the MySQL cacti data files." What is the weekly backup job? Is it a batch using the command lines given in your ma...

Apparently I had to install the DBD::mysql module :/ Now I can launch the script but it must be too old, the structure of Cacti must have changed since I get the following error message (see attached pic). Is there any automated way to convert bytes to bits on all my traffic graphs? Thanks in advanc...

Hello, I would be really interested in using these scripts to convert the bytes in bits in my traffic graphs. But after installing ActivePerl, I am still unable to use these scripts. Apparently it was because DBI was not in @INC... Being a complete newbie when it comes to Perl, I managed to install ...
