Http session logging off automatically

I find if I leave my web interface to cacti open and unused for a period of time I get logged out of cacti automatically. I would like to change that. I already did a couple quick searches on here and the info I found says this isn't a setting in cacti but in PHP. Does anybody know offhand what I ha...

Re: Cacti Version Issue

Got it figured out. In the hopes that this may help someone else out in the future, here's what was done. First and foremost, I spoke with an admin friend of mine who's not only linux guru but is also a database guru. He installed the "EPEL" repository. on the production box and was able to then upd...

Cacti Version Issue

So I have two separate cacti servers running on VMware. One is production, the other is for testing. Both are running on Redhat v7.5 and cacti was installed using yum. The production version says I have cacti v1.1.37 and the test has v1.1.38 This is causing issues when I try to port the data over fr...

Re: Organizing graph's on devices

As far as I know, they are in the order they were sequenced for the device. There isn't currently a way to change that. You could use an automation rule to place graphs onto the trees. I thought that might be the case.........I'll maybe have a look at redoing the graphs and see if I can get the ord...

Organizing graph's on devices

So my coworker and I are just finishing up a completely new install of Cacti v1.1.38 on Redhat 7.5 We've reached the point where we've created our devices and graphs and are now placing everything on the tree. In some cases, I'd much rather place a device than it's associated graphs. Case in point, ...

Re: Template import issue

What was the outcome of using the import_package with the packages in the install/templates folder? Can you post the technical support info from your cacti too? Doubt there will be anything wrong with it, but it's always worth checking. What "technical support info" are you looking for exactly? Als...

Re: Template import issue

use import_package.php in the cli folder with the packages in install/templates/ Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I saw that on info on one template page and tried to import that way but had an issue. When I looked for the folder and/or filename here's what I found: [[email protected] ~]# locate ...

Template import issue

So I just installed a new cacti server with the current version of cacti (1.1.38) on Redhat v7.5 on a VMware host Upon attempting to import graph templates with the most recent 1.x templates from the official template page, it doesn't work. As in, no graph template appears in cacti. A quick check in...

Re: No users appearing in User Management

Ok so no responses in here with regard to the issue I was having. I did however find help from another, unexpected, source. I got in contact via email with a gent named Tony who told me to login to the cacti server and go into the "cli" directory under cacti root and run the repair script. Did that ...

No users appearing in User Management

cacti v 0.8.8a I have no users appearing in my User Management interface. I just created a user and now need to address access issues for said user account but I can't get at it, or any others including the admin account. I am logged in as "admin" while doing this. I have the same issue when logged ...

Moving Cacti-EZ

Cacti-EZ version: 0.8.8a Moving from a standalone server to a VM server on VMware (5.5 if it matters). I've converted it over and as soon as I did, it stopped working properly. I'm not sure what I have to do to get it to function correctly and I'm really hoping someone here knows. The initial test c...

Re: CactiEZ 0.7 Released

Same way any Cacti migration happens between boxes. Certain things hinge on whether the old one is 32bit or 64bit, but you mostly need to build it out in parallel to your other install. It also helps if you upgrade the old cacti to the latest first. Some rough steps are Install new server on differ...
