Seems to work fine. Still leaves those zombies around on my box until it's finished. Not sure why every version since -e of -f has done that.

I have about 90 servers logging their syslogs into an innodb table. On average that's 80 events per second. Just testing so far how the system is able to handle this. Querying does get to be a little slow when the incoming table has grown to a few millions lines. :-) Cigamit, planning on releasing y...

Thanks for the tip, but I don't think that is the cause here.
The OID is available on all my devices. Can see it on the device page in Cacti fine too. I am still to look into this a bit deeper.

cactid 0.8.6g final probs

Hey, something changed in host down detection between the final and beta3? While beta3 worked ok this final version decides 1/3 of my hosts are down with SNMP timeout. Tried changing timeout values, snmp version, oids/request, no change. I'm using SNMP as the down detection method. So I'm back to th...

Again leaving defuncts behind it here, like the betas for 'f'. The final f didn't do it though.

This is RHEL4 X86_64. (kernel 2.6, net-snmp 5.1.2, mysql 4.1.15) Seems like this: Standard unix question #4582: the kernel is keeping the process structure around in case the parent wants to find out how the child died. This process stub is called a zombie process; to get rid of it you need to wait(...

Otherwise seems to work here, but leaves all the scripts (shell, perl, etc) defunct after it, even though it seems to get the data from them.

Yes, I did change the input methods to have path. :-)

I had problems with -f timing out some of my larger hosts no matter what. -e works fine. Could test the new version to see if it's any better before you release.

Thanks.

Not a setup guide, more like a tip... There's this handy syslogd that can talk natively to mysql... http://www.rsyslog.com/ Quite early in development, but seems to work ok. An example config to it and r.haloe would be something like this... $template haloe,"insert into logs (host, facility, priorit...

Well, this turned out to be MySQL 5.0.12 actually.

There's a bug in 5.0.12 regarding joins and it's fixed in 5.0.13.

Sorry about the trouble.

Well, not much really since I can't see any graphs there either.
Only 'showing rows 1 to 30' and then 'no graphs found'.

Of course I've done some other upgrades without visiting cacti so I can't be sure if it's PHP 505 but that's the most logical thing anyway..

problems after upgrading to php 5.0.5

Upgraded to php 5.0.5 - can't see graphs or data sources anymore.
If I click eg. data sources, I get a header "Showing Rows 1 to 30 of 39 [1,2]"
but then the list is empty with only "No Data Sources".
Same thing for graphs. both on the console and graph view. Everything else seems to work.
