i am having this same exact problem with the scripts listed on that page. RRD's are not being created. I ran the SQL query posted above and it returned an empty result. I manually created an RRD from the command line based on what the datasource said should have been created but now i just have NaN ...

there is too much cloak and dagger in that paragraph for me to understand. :-)

i found a few mentions of the print command with rrdtool but im not as proficient as some so it doesn't make sense to me.

hrule the datasource min/max for the given timeframe

i've been tinkering and have put every value I can think of to try and get this to work but it just mimics the "current" line. google was not much use on any front. basically i want an hrule on the graph to show the min/max that are in the datasource for that graph period. has anyone done this before?

i am also looking for esx 3.5 scripts. snmp appears to be fairly dumbed down on 3.5.

what i would really like is to find out where esx is storing the data in the performance tab and rip that into cacti. i'll be looking into that once my migration is complete.

well that makes sense then. any plans to change that or possibly a patch somewhere that might allow this in the future? the reason i ask is because to graph a dell poweredge server temperatures, voltages, and fans, you're looking at another 150-200 new data sources/rrd's per server. that seems like ...

silly question about multiple data source items

I'm trying to create a data template that uses Get SNMP Data and has multiple data source items. The problem that I'm running into is that when I create a new data source item and punch in the OID in the custom data section, it changes the OID for ALL the data source items. There are going to be 20 ...

Ok, here's what I think is wrong. I don't think Cacti likes the printf command that you have listed in your script. Here's the output line that I'm using and it's working fine. Try changing to it and see if it works out for you. for (keys %data) { print $_ . ":" . $data{$_} . " "; } print "\n"; i a...

Two questions that could make it all simpler... 1) why bother with the temporary file? You can specify a location for wget so it'll put the file directly where you want it. Check out the -O option. 2) why bother with wget? It looks like your perl script fetches it's own web page using LWP::Simple! ...

i've gotten this figured out fellas. after dus001 mentioned absolute paths, i decided to add bin in front of the executing script in the input string and that fixed it. here is what it looks like now for anyone else that runs into this issue. /bin/sh <path_cacti>/scripts/USR_stats.sh and for streake...

cant get this script to work.

long story short, i wrote a dirty script and for whatever reason, cacti wont execute it correctly. the script is: #/bin/sh cd /tmp && wget -qr http://support:[email protected].16.0.1/statsadsl.html cp /tmp/172.16.0.1/statsadsl.html /usr/local/www/data/statsadsl.html perl /usr/local/www/data/cacti/scripts/...
