Current Values are generated every 5 minutes - the plugin hooks into the post-poller routine to get the values just polled...

Reports are generally an average/max/min etc. over a time period.

The expiry rules are as follows: From within runReports.pl there are some comments: # We use the following methodology: # If our current RRA is daily, then we remove all daily reports that are older # then twice the weekly time-span. # If Weekly, then remove all weekly reports that are twice the mon...

Use the web-interface to view the real-time reports. When selecting a date
of the report, just select "Current Values" (or something similar, I cant remember what I called it).

There's no way to delete the old reports - they get expired automatically.

(You can delete them from mysql tho)

New version available

Attached is the latest version of the Cacti Reports. Please download it from the following URL: http://www.kitefamily.co.uk/cacti-reports.zip The most significant change is the ability to report on "real-time" values. The periodic reports now calculate max/min/avg figures which you can switch betwee...

Jwat, On FreeBSD systems where you have installed RRD-tool from the ports collection, the required perl modules are actually installed in /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl and so this line is not actually required. If you comment it out altogether then it should work fine. Karthi, when you log into Cac...

henryd31, it’s not the structure of the tables that matters (because MySQL does not by default support referential integrity).

It’s the data within these tables that you should post - just a sample should be enough.

Falvour, in short, update DBI and DBD::mysql to the latest versions: DBI is available here: http://search.cpan.org/~timb/DBI-1.50/ DBD::mysql is available here: http://search.cpan.org/~capttofu/DBD-mysql-3.0002/ This could also be the reason why other users are not getting their reports. last_insert...

The start/end day/hour only determines what data is included in the report, not what time the report is run. This means that you can run the report (normally at midnight via CRON) to produce daily/weekly AVERAGES of data COLLECTED during the start/end day/hour. If you add '--start' to runReports.pl ...

Use 00:00 and 23:00.

Its perhaps a bit misleading at the moment because it is INCLUSIVE of these hours
(It doesnt use the minutes part).

knobdy, reports are already periodically deleted. Daily reports last for 2 weeks, weekly reports last for 2 months, monthly reports last for 2 years, and yearly reports last for ever. The way the reports work, is that it reports any item that is plotted on a graph - in other words the reports are ba...

Chadd, I have already made this into a plugin (it was originally a patch). Download the .zip file attached and follow the (now updated) readme in one of my earlier posts. (The README is included in the .zip file too) Egarnel, after installing the plugin, you need to configure your reports using your...
