InnoMedia EMTA Levels and DOCSIS Stats

Here is a quick host template for the InnoMedia 6528 EMTA CM side. Probably the same for all cable modems but this is what I built it for. Just import this xml and then add a new device with this listed as the host template. I thought I should add in the case that this host template does not include...

I ran the poller from the command with the following errors: ERROR: expected timestamp not found in data source from.... Now fixed, the problem was leading spaces I was serving up via my snmp exec. (Thx to some post of lvm's) I'm piping through sed now and graphs have begun. (| sed -e 's/[[:space:]]...

Hmm, didn't seem to make a difference, I appreciate the help. I am going to dig into this as much as possible tomorrow.

Any thoughts you might have to help debug this or anything else I can take a look at.

Thanks again.

I found this one... and edited it. script_queries/unix_disk.xml It might be my lack of knowledge, but would unix_disk.xml have the ability to stop the graphing for the custom oid's I'm graphing. I just copied the generic oid data template and put in the oid's i'm looking for, then graphed from those...

Thanks, I actually checked that already, just re-checked... with no luck.

Code: Select all

z1lsftp:/usr/share/cacti/resource# grep -i perl *
z1lsftp:/usr/share/cacti/resource# ls
script_queries script_server snmp_queries
Is that the right directory?

cactid not showing some graphs, already change to full paths

Hi, I'm trying out cactid on a test machine of mine and I have already changed the path for perl to full, ie: perl --> /usr/bin/perl but "some" of my graphs are no longer updated, although I do see the poller receiving data. The graphs that are not working are custom OID's that I have running from t...

Not an expert, but I don't think changing the php in cron to run every 3 minutes is a good thing. If you have hanging processes you will just add them up quickly. I suggest graphing the poller statistics, there is a template somewhere in the forums for this. I also don't think you're actually using ...

Thold export threshold templates?

Anyone know of a way to export threshold templates? ie. have thresholds for temperature that can be exported from one cacti host to another cacti host? The reason I am asking is we have hardware out there that are all identical but managed by different people, which manage them using different cacti...

I don't know that you will be able to get that via snmp interface statistics. You can try doing a snmpwalk and check if your tunnel defs are shown individually. We graph our ipsec with all tunnels on the single interface, but our VPN GW is a linux box. If I was to start graphing the individual traff...

JBOSS Console Page Memory Check

This script monitors 4 variables from your JBOSS Management Console Page (See Below) and graphs them on a single graph (See Below). Note: that I subtract Free Memory from Total Memory to give us Used Memory. I used the basics from the WeatherBug.pl script so thank you Alives! This script requires th...

Ok so I scraped the way I was trying to add the data query and created data and graph templates and added this properly and do not get this error.

I'm still messing around with the templates but once I have something that is good I will post it all up.

Thanks again.

Reinhard, Thanks so much, this is perfect and additionally I think I understand this now! Sorry it took so long for me to test it out. I'm having problems now creating graphs. I am adding a data query to the device, (the device you tested on) and when I go to create graphs I get: Notice: Undefined i...

Re: PPP / PPPoE User Traffic Graphs

Hi jpingle, I like what you are asking about but unfortunately am unable to provide any help but would be very interested in what you come up with. We have a linux box that I would be very interesting in graphing users ppp usage, by usage. As I write I am thinking a bit... we provide virtual IP's to...
