Re: Lost Thresholds & Threshold templates during upgrade -so

I'm getting here a few years late, but earlier this week I upgraded my cactiCORP (cactiEZ) from 0.0.8b to 0.0.8h and yesterday I noticed I lost my tholds. BUT I have the backup.sh running (with a few mods) so I've daily backups. So I took the cacti-backup.sql and the syslog.sql from the backup tar, ...

Re: ERROR: Spine Timed Out While Processing Hosts Internal?

Hi guys, sorry to bring this back up, but this is happening to me too. This is in my corp.cacti (see signature). It's not a new cacti, this started to happen a few weeks ago (this install is almost a year old) I looked EVERYWHERE and there's no double poller (that I could find). What else could I lo...

Re: ICMP and Ping error

So that is not a Cacti error, but rather a device problem. Make sure that you have it properly configured. Check version and community (or usr+pass if v3), also make sure that this is not a firewall issue (in my case, cacti is in a DMZ). Make snmpwalk work, and THEN move to cacti. Also, make sure to...

Re: ICMP and Ping error

Change all your permissions to 755 (rwxr-xr-x) and see what happens. I'm not an expert, but as far as I know, some operations are done by your cacti user, some others by apache and, in my case, even root. You can also try 777, but if that works make your way back to the permissions you need (as a go...

Re: Cisco CBWFQ monitoring

It's been a long time, but I found something. When I installed the template (I was using the original one) I got bytes and drops in the same grpah, but values were NaN. Comparing the original cbqos.pl and the cisco_qos.pl dod show a difference in the snmppath. It goes like this my $snmppath = "/usr/...

Re: Optimizing Spine

I guess you can always configure more processes. I did that a few months ago and noticed it killed my cpu (lol), but times got lower. In any case, I wouldn't worry for any polling process that takes less than 25 sec. In fact I did use that difference to DECREASE poller's efficency and give my cores ...

Re: ICMP and Ping error

check your permissions on "lib/ping.php", "scripts/ss_fping.php" and "scripts/ping.pl" (all within your cacti dir).
Let us know how it goes.

Re: New QoS not shouing up

It's hard work to debug something... specially when I'm not a programmer. I've a VERY basic notion, so I made my way (I think) Did find one thing, that I don't know if it is related. The script_query is calling methods that are not implemented in the perl script. Eg Executing script for num of index...

Re: New QoS not shouing up

I don't know how to do that. Could the fact that both policies use the same classes make any difference? Also... the interfaces are returned (by the interface script) it's the QoS that is not retrieved. EDIT: I'm thinking maybe this is not a cacti/script error, but maybe it's the router that is not ...

No sir. Also, if call for a verbose query the output will not show it.

New QoS not showing up

Hi guys. I'm in a bit of trouble and thought you might point me in the right direction. A few days ago I replaced an interface with another. In order to assure that I can roll back, I didn't move the QoS configuracion, but rather created a new one with the same access lists. interface GigabitEtherne...

Re: Cisco Environmental Monitoring (Temp, Voltage, Fan, Powe

Hi guys, boss requested for alarms when one PS on our 6500 goes down, so I installed the power template (and the xml of course), but it's not working. It says there's an error parsing (I'm pasting the verbose query). Any help will be appreciated :) Data Query Debug Information + Running data query [...

Help with QoS

Guys, I've been requested to graph QoS for our wan routers. Of course, I'm in trouble  . The thing is that imported the template with its scripts (Cisco CBQ Class-Map) and it's working for my Wan-A router, but not for the Wan-B. Those two are my redundant WAN enviroment. Both are Cisco c6500-E...

option to change reindex method in host template

Well, that pretty much sums it up. The reindex method is not an option in the "host template" so it always is "update time goes backwards". It would be great if that could be changed at the template.

Thanks!

Re: Need graph with 1 hr interval

you've to create a specific RRA that serves your goal.
Go to data sources->RRA

If my calculations are correct, you should do something like this.

Let me know if it works.

EDIT: Now I'm in doubt. Not sure if you need 1 step (as shown in the picture) or 5 steps. Give it a try :)
