Graph View - Preview View

Since the introduction of Cacti 1.x.x the "Device" drop down width is a bit narrow - the whole top pane on widescreen monitors is a bit squashed and doesn't make effective use of the space in the top bar. The narrow Device drop down is truncating the names of devices with long names. Cacti 0.8.8 had...

Ability to disable DNS lookups on Network Discovery

When discovering devices there is an attempt to resolve hostnames via DNS. Even though no DNS servers have been defined either under the network or in cacti settings - it defaults to using system configured DNS servers. We would prefer to completely disable this functionality within cacti GUI to red...

Automation Tree Rules

It would good to have access to the site name in the drop down list under "Tree Creation Criteria" rather than just the site ID. This would enable regular expression parsing on this field to denote the tree structure.

Thanks

Automation Device Rules

Under automation devices, there are fields by which to match devices to add them to Cacti. There is however no way of templating how the name of the device should be defined. Currently it just defaults to the SNMP Sys Name. It would be good if we had a way of defining device names using the variable...

Adjust Graph Tree Width

Would be nice to be able to adjust the width of the graph tree dynamically with click and drag. When there are long names and nesting the names of devices are pushed off the side of the tree with no way to read them. Previously in 0.8.8b the tree was a fixed width and the names wrapped - this is not...

Re: Cacti - explain "Processor load" graph

The reason that says 100% I/O load is because you are not receiving data for the other cpu metrics.

Due to the graph being a stack graph if the other values are 0% then I/O wait will be 100%. Check to make sure those OIDs are valid on the device you are monitoring and the device is up.

Re: [INFO] Show off your Weathermaps.

Hello, As we have been so inspired by other peoples work on this forum and this thread in particular I thought we would share a few of our weathermaps to hopefully inspire a few others: Here are two we use to monitor a Cisco 6509-E and an Cisco ASR-1004 we have in the core of our network. Features i...
