DNOTES

In the down device message and recovering device message fields, there is a <DNOTES> field. Where is that set and populated from?

Alerts - location in emailing options message fields

Is there any way to place the location field, designated in the Management > Devices > General section, for a device, in the Threshold emailing options (similar to <DESCRIPTION> or <HOSTNAME>), down device message and/or recovering device message fields?

Re: Monitor plugin - has all monitored devices under 1 tree

Yes, I have root branches under each tree, and devices under those root branches. See attachments for details.

Gexport not sending user and password to ftp server

In Cacti, under Utilities > Export > "Graph Export Definition", I setup a user and password. I set those up in the ftp server as well. Cacti/Gexport makes a connection with the ftp server, but does not seem to be sending over the user and password specified in the graph export definition. Instead, t...

Monitor plugin - has all monitored devices under 1 tree

I setup 3 trees with devices under each tree. On the Monitor tab, I selected for grouping "tree" and also selected to view "all trees". With these selections, all monitored devices from all 3 trees are grouped under 1 tree. FYI. If I select a tree, as opposed to "all trees", the monitored devices un...

Plugin management blank

Running Cacti 0.8.8h. Noticed today that the plugin management page is blank. Not sure when the list of plugins disappeared, as I haven't added a new plugin in a while. I did update to Cacti 0.8.8h about a month or two ago. But I don't know if that may have caused the blank page. FYI - the "Plugin M...

Re: Protecting config files

I created a weathermap.conf file. That worked! I get a prompt for password to access config files now. Thank you Howie!! You're awesome!

FYI - I'm running Centos 7.

Weathermap is in /usr/share/cacti/plugins/weathermap.

Yes, I have the original .htaccess in the configs folder.

Re: Protecting config files

I'm using Apache v2.4.6. I found some info on the web about password protecting folders using the .htaccess and .htpasswd files. But those didn't work for me. After looking at the link in the last response, I changed httpd.conf. Currently, I have the following set in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf. <Dir...

Protecting config files

Hello, I'm a newbie to Cacti and Linux. I have created some config files. The files are all located in /usr/share/cacti/plugins/weathermap/configs. I have found that I am able to access those config files directly via a web browser (e.g. http://<IP address of cacti server>/cacti/plugins/weathermap/c...
