Re: totalling 22 Data Sources. Please Either Re-Index, Delete or

As I said before, make sure you have set this against your poller not the system defaults. Console -> Data Collections -> Data Collectors -> Poller
Yes. My directions are wrong for the 1.2.x train. My apologies.

Re: totalling 22 Data Sources. Please Either Re-Index, Delete or

Something is wrong somewhere. Your second line posted above still shows 1/1. In comparison mine shows:

Re: totalling 22 Data Sources. Please Either Re-Index, Delete or

Still only seeing one process and one thread....

Code: Select all

2019/08/15 09:55:00 - SYSTEM STATS: Time:298.5956 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads:1 Hosts:37 HostsPerProcess:37 DataSources:4290 RRDsProcessed:0
Go for 2 processes and 5 threads as a start.

Re: totalling 22 Data Sources. Please Either Re-Index, Delete or

In 'Configuration' -> 'Settings' -> 'Poller', increase the number of threads per Spine process to perhaps get past the device which is stalling the processing. Also, try enabling 'Invalid Data Logging' to see more data.

Re: totalling 22 Data Sources. Please Either Re-Index, Delete or

From your prior post, the poller is timing out before any data is received. Check your SNMP setting to see if reachability is an issue. 2019/08/14 15:40:00 - SYSTEM STATS: Time:298.6046 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads:1 Hosts:37 HostsPerProcess:37 DataSources:4456 RRDsProcessed:0 2019/08/14 15:40:0...

Re: Infrastructure Upgrades

The new look and feel is good, but I used almost exclusively the 'Prior topic' - 'Next topic' links. Any way to get them back. Having to keep opening a new tab each time you wish to read another post is a pain point.

Thanks in advance

The above is incorrect. M=6 zeros, so 10M would be 10+000000, etc.
100M = 100 000 000
10M = 10 000 000

Re: data collection through python script

Look at the file date on the rrd file to see if it is really being updated.

Now THAT is sound. As long as that server is hardened, I would bless it.

Re: Remote Poller Philosophy

Personally, I wouldn't put that poller in the DMZ. Reversely, I would put the monitoring station there if anything. Nothing from the DMZ should be able to get into your network. If it gets compromised, you have a potential data loss as well as a possibiltiy of access to internal devices. My two cents.

Good point, being that one of the above posts references the './scripts/' folder.

You all with issues, post lists of your plugins. May have something to do with one of those. I don't have that file on any of my CentOS installs.

Re: script output loop

Not sure, but you could loop an append to a variable instead and just print that variable once all the looping has completed. Simple work around.
