After investigating a little longer I discovered that the MySQL table poller_item was corrupt. running /usr/bin/myisamchk -r /var/lib/mysql/cacti/poller_item.MYI fixed the issue with spine. However, the rrds that didn't get created and still haven't been created. Is there a way to programmatically c...

Spine segmentation fault

Today - I added 10 new hosts to my cacti installation. I noticed that the RRDs didn't get created and upon further investigation I found: 04/09/2008 06:10:02 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] FATAL: Spine Encountered a Segmentation Fault (Spine parent) Any clue? I'm on 0.8.7b and spine 0.8.7b (that's what it sh...

I am trying to import these into 0.8.7 and I get an error. Error: XML: Cacti version does not exist.

Is there something I need to do to these to get them working on 0.8.7?

thanks,

Problems on Etch

I had lots of problems compiling. The last hurdle seems to be: make source='sql.c' object='sql.o' libtool=no \ DEPDIR=.deps depmode=none /bin/sh ./config/depcomp \ gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I./config -I/usr/include/net-snmp -I/usr/include/net-snmp/.. -I/usr/include/mysql -g -O2 -c sql.c : command not...

Are there any changes to the database schema that would affect the 0.8.6i database? Are they backwards compatible? In the upgrade instructions I don't see a backup database step. ;) Just being cautious! I noticed one of the features is a rra_path variable. Does this mean we can now place our rras so...

I've created a template that contained the regular CPU Usage graph that show Nice, System and User. But I want to use a graph template that users the 4-way CPU usage graph template. I found that by going to Graph management and selecting the graph, I can change the graph template. However, what I no...

I've had the same problem

I was going to recompile snmpd (using net-snmp 5.4) instead of using the default (5.2?) since I think there's a known bug on the Mac/Intel version. If I remember correctly it had something to do with the mach kernel. Let me know if you find out anything, and I'll let you know how things work out wit...

What data do you want to extract? You should be able to extract it from the rrds inside /rra directory. If you're trying to get hostnames, etc AND match that with their rrd's then yes it's a little more difficult. You'd have to do some development. If you just want to extract the data from the rrd, ...

Multiple graphs from same data source

Hi, I'm curious about something. I may have missed a really simple workflow or something but here goes. I have CPU Utilization graphs for 100+ machines, they are multi cpu hosts and therefore I want to change the CPU Util graphs to show the values correctly. Here's what I want to do. I've imported t...

Cisco equipment not matching and field not large enough

I found out that the reason I wasn't getting any IPs on my install of Mactrack was that my cisco equipment isn't matching the strings in the device type table, so I decided to create a new one with same properties as the other one (3750.) However, I discovered that the field for the description isn'...

Template installer from Zip file

I was thinking that this would help with a lot of issues... I don't know if anything like this is being developed for the new architecture, if not... then this could maybe get added (and delay the new version of Cacti!? Never!) Templates can placed inside a zip with all the dependencies. This could ...

When your values start coming back as negative, you've got an overflow. :-?

If you use the "SNMP - Get Mounted Partitions" instead you should be able to read quite a large volume.
