Ok by comparing against a test clean install of 0.8.4 it appears simply modifying the data_input table so the "Get Script Data (Indexed)" item has a "type_id" of 4 makes it work again. (I made the change via webmin) (First time I tried this a few days ago I had an error in my XML, which led me to be...

The Max for In-Host1 and In-Host1 didnt happen at the same time ?

The Graph looks rights for the current values - total of about 87ish and the graph is just under the 90 Mb/s mark.

If you specify COUNTER - Cacti will give you a graph of the "rate" of the thing your are measuring - in your case - hits. So your graph will actually be Hits per Second. if on average you get less than 1 hits/sec, it will prob show up on the graph (due to the auto-scaling) as milli hits/sec (and be ...

Your OID is returning an OID rather than a value. (Some OIDS do this) What are the OID's intended to give you ? Have your hard coded them within datasources or are they derived from a query ? Which MIB are they from (looks like cisco ? but I dont have access to my management station to check at the ...

I was coming from the XML Data Query/Script point of view. - but even then its a seperate call to the script to get each data item.

As far as I can tell you cant do what you need to directly. Cacti has fairly explicit output requirements from a script - and for the actual "GET" to poll data - its one request gives one output only. Which as far as i can tell would make it hard to do soemthing like you want where multiple results ...

Almost Certainly Not. The SNMP Query format cant really cope with any index more complex than oid.x.x.x.1 oid.x.x.x.2 oid.x.x.y.1 oid.x.x.y.2 etc. I tried for a while to get a working SNMP query for a Cisco Content switch which uses (fairly unsurprisingly) a similair MIB structure for some of its st...

I could be very interested - I may in fact have an immediate requirement. I cant get a supported router with the rigth IOS until next week though. I'm downloading the MIB to have a look. If we started with the basics and I just wanted Bytes for say HTTP,HTTPS,FTP,ICMP,DNS(UDP&TCP) + Others for 1 int...

Inputs = Things displayed in Query results to help you identify/describe the "thing" your monitoring (can also be used in graph titles etc.).

Outputs = The things you actually want to graph.

best example is Interfaces. Input = Name/Description/Admin Status, Output = Bits In/Out, Errors etc.

What's the line in cron (exactly) and did you try it as root or the user its supposed to run under in cron ? I have 2 instance's running on RH8 and I seem to remember dropping the "cactiuser" bit of the cron line. (so cmd.php) runs as root effectvely. It maybe of course that I screwed my permissions...

Literally just fallen over this one myself trying to create a new script based query. XML and script is in place but I get the same error. Digging about in the PHP... The first thing that is called is host.php / host_reload_query which in turn calls snmp.php / data_query. Which has no option to deal...

Ok - I've thrown these screen grabs together v v quickly. I aim to do something "proper" at some point. 1) Add new Graph. Hit the "Add" in Graph Management Screenshot 1 2) Dont select a template. Do select the host (with your CPU in ;) ) Screenshot 2 3) Set the Title and vertical label (at the botto...

Wouldn't Physical memory just be constant ? Do you have the OIDs or MIB details ? These are the OIds for Total Available vs Comitted Memory. memoryAvailableBytes = .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.2.0 memoryCommittedBytes = .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.3.0 I'll try and get them into a template later.
