It's a two step process. 1) Edit the RRA's for 'New' Graphs and add rows to the 5 minute RRA until you are happy with the duration. 2) Open a shell to <path_cacti>/rra/ and use the RRDtool 'resize' command to 'Add' the new rows to the existing RRDfile. Just overlay the files over the existing install and import the sql file below into mysql. After doing so, goto User Management and verify that you have access to the 'Plugin Management' Realm.

Edit your php.ini files and increase the memory_limit variable, then restart apache/IIS. Also, if installing by hand, make sure you have installed your database SQL file before opening the web site.

Make sure MySQL is not in STRICT mode. Also, you are missing plugin tables. Import the pa.sql file to reconcile that.

I believe that if you try do do anything other than store time series data, you are doing yourself a disservice, and it will not likely be well received here.
