Re: SNMP over TCP not working

You do not need the TCP: as it defaults to that I believe. I may be misunderstanding your statement so please correct me if I'm wrong, but UDP is default for SNMP. TCP needs to be explicitly stated snmpwalk -c public -v 2c 192.168.1.2 system vs. snmpwalk -c public -v 2c tcp:192.168.1.2 system As I ...

SNMP over TCP not working

I had snmp monitoring over tcp working in recent past but I may have been on 1.1.34. Currently on 1.1.38 In the hostname field, tcp:192.168.1.2 is the syntax I recall worked in my previous configuration. I have confirmed my snmpd configuration is valid when issuing an snmpwalk command. After setting...

Re: Data Query Script not running

Discovered that indexing is not happening at all, though I assumed it would happen when a new data query to a host is added. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the process. Forcing an index by running poller_reindex_hosts.php did the trick.

Data Query Script not running

Hello - any ideas on getting this problem is much appreciated! I wrote a custom Data Query Script (first one) for getting APC UPS status and information. I've manually confirmed everything is working as expected and have checked all pathnames and permissions to be sure there's no obstacles there. Ho...

Re: Massive spine log

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that didn't reveal anything.

For the time being I've replaced the file with a symlink to /dev/null

Re: Massive spine log

Here is my crontab entry: */5 * * * * /usr/bin/php /var/www/html/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1 I've also redirected all output to a different file with: */5 * * * * /usr/bin/php /var/www/html/cacti/poller.php > ~userdir/poller.out Then deleted "/usr/local/spine/bin/1" and confirmed that poller.o...

Re: Massive spine log

Thanks for the tip. Fortunately (or unfortunately) my crontab redirection is correct, so the source of the file remains a mystery. Maybe seeing a clip of the output might help identify the source if someone may recognize it: <---snip---> 2018-08-17 09:20:03 ss_get_by_ssh() at /var/www/html/cacti-1.1...

Massive spine log

Searching for what was taking up 26G on my disk, I found what appears to be a poller activity log file: /usr/local/spine/bin/1 I cannot find what process is writing to this file. I removed the file, then set all log file settings in Cacti to minimal or no logging where I could but the file was recre...

Re: Graph Tree - Available Graphs Scroll

Bump for this issue. There is a scrollbar for the Tree Items list so odd that there isn't one for both Available Graphs AND Available Devices lists. And on a related topic: In addition, it appears Search does not behave as expected. E.g., Searching on 'R' in Available Graphs, I would expect everythi...
