Error exporting template

#1 Post by lcano » Thu May 20, 2010 4:14 am

Hi all,

after some time woking in a Netcache Netapp monitoring template, I was trying to export it, but I got an error in the graph template. The problem is the title, where I uses this character " º " which seems not to be supported.

Image

No problem to work, because we can change the title, but.... did you know that kind of characters are not allowed when exporting

There are a couple of bugfixes which have to do with special characters and exports in 0.8.7f. Maybe an upgrade solves you problem - but I do not know for sure.

have you tried to remove the special charakter from the graphtemplate?
bug#0001522: Special characters break parsing of template data
bug#0001416: Graph Export fails with EXPORT FATAL ERROR: Export path /some/path/root/export is within a system path /root. Can not continue.
bug#0001366: Exported data templates do not import special characters properly
bug#0001125: XML parse error on template import with degree symbol

Yes !! It is really similar to bug#0001125, but not only importing template, but exporting this template. Not sure if the parser for exporting is the same (probably yes) than importing. In this case, it is a similar bug, that should be corrected in that version...

With no degree symbol, exporting goes perfectly !!
