[Suggestions] New Mikrotik Template

#1 Post by mojiro » Sun Nov 03, 2013 7:02 am

Some years before I have created a set of templates and scripts for Mikrotik RouterOS.

These days I have started updating these scripts in order to be compatible with Mikrotik v5.26/v6.5 & Cacti 0.8.8b.

If you have any suggestions for something to be graphed please comment! :D

For the moment I aim to have support for

1) System
  • * CPU Load
    * System Uptime
    * Disk Usage
    * RAM Usage

    * System/Processor Temperature
    * Fan
    * Voltage
    * Current
2) IP
  • * Active PPP Connections
    * ARP Entries
    * Neighbor count
    * DHCP Server Leases
    * Total Routes count
    * Route count per protocol
3) Network Interfaces (any kind)
  • * TX/RX Bits/Bytes
    * TX/RX Packets
4) Wireless Station
  • * Signal Strength
    * TX/RX Rate
    * Frequency 802.11b/g & 802.11a
5) Wireless AP / Wireless Virtual AP
  • * Total stations count
    * Stations count per AP
    * Noise floor
    * Overall CCQ
6) Wireless Registration Table
  • * Signal Strength
    * TX/RX Bits/Bytes
    * TX/RX Packets
    * Uptime
    * SNR
    * TX/RX Signal Strength Ch0/1/2 (I think it is for 802.11n connections)
7) Queues
  • * Simple Packets
    * Simple Traffic Bits/Bytes
    * Tree Packets
    * Tree Traffic Bits/Bytes
- - - -

* With red color the additions since the previous version
* With blue color the fixes for current compatibility

Nothing to add. Just waiting for the above list. That would be great already! :D

I am currently using the Mikrotik Plugin instead. Why not update that one?

1. Devices
2. Click on a device
3. (at the bottom of the page) Add Data Query: SNMP - Interface Statistics
4. Add

Until now I have completed the wireless part.
Also cpu, arp, neighbors, temperatures, power, uptime, ram, hdd, dhcp

I have added support for Mikrotik API, in order to collect more data.

I am thinking also for firewall rules, proxy and hotspot
