Did anyone get weathermap plugin to work on Debian stretch?

#1 Post by yuelu » Fri Jul 06, 2018 4:14 pm

Hello,

We are upgrading our server to stretch which has php 7 installed. Did anyone manage to get weathermap plugin to work with php 7? If not, what's the alternative? Install php 5.6 on stretch? I have see a few posts related to this and is hoping someone has figured out a solution. Thanks.

PHP 7.0 and 7.1 should be OK. 7.2 introduced a number of breaking changes which is why you've probably seen posts relating to installing PHP 5.6 instead.

Weathermaps is still undergoing development for 1.x compatibility so isn't in a fully working state (though most things should be working).

For Cacti 0.8.8x and PHP 7.x, I'd welcome some feedback on this:

http://www.network-weathermap.com/files ... -test4.zip

This should be a PHP 7.x compatible version of the last Weathermap release, using PDO instead of the older mysql_*() functions.
Weathermap 0.98 is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Come on, please finish up the 1.x version to have the hover over graphs :)
Currently with 1.1.38 I can see the maps but when you select one of them you can’t select another without backing out of the menu and starting over. Then we need the hover graph working.
Thanks!

I have a job, thanks. It pays the bills and takes priority, and keeps me and my family fed and housed.

I think we are breaking the rules Howie, you're a successful programmer with a family and responsibilities just like me. Not just some bedroom trapped spotty geek with too much time on our hands ;-)

I'd appreciate some feedback on the test4 release, if you ended up using it:
