NOTE: gave up on this!
Hello All,

I would like to use replication, from a master server to a slave server for cacti-1.1.28.
I am running RHEL 6.5 and mysql 5.1.73. For the moment we are locked in to
these versions.

I have seen the post here suggesting using mysqldump and rysnc for the rrd files to create the cacti databse
on a remote server - that works (more or less). I could not get the suggested script to run to perform this, but
I could do it manually.

I did get replication working on a small test database, but the cacti db is much bigger and complex.
I have attempted to set up replication for cacti but, if I delete a value from the "master", it does
not get carried over the the slave (I am researching that error, not a topic for this forum).

Has anyone tried using mysql replication on a cacti server/app? Any tips or suggestions are welcome.
Or is it a waste of time to attempt such replication?

Thanks,

eholz1
