Upgrade installation goes on forever

#1 Post by Wirthmueller » Sat Jan 12, 2019 7:46 am

I am updating from a fully working v1.1.38 on a Synology NAS to the latest V1.2.0. The update process works fine until I start the cacti website on the server to finalize the installation. The progress bar stays at 0% and installation goes forever without any result.

Cacti log files states:
[2019-01-11 23:45:34] [ always ] Spawning background process: /bin/php /volume1/web/cacti/install/background.php 1547246733.9885
[2019-01-12 00:14:33] [ always ] Spawning background process: /bin/php /volume1/web/cacti/install/background.php 1547248473.5646
[2019-01-12 08:56:32] [ always ] Spawning background process: /bin/php /volume1/web/cacti/install/background.php 1547279792.7519
[2019-01-12 12:47:21] [ always ] Spawning background process: /bin/php /volume1/web/cacti/install/background.php 1547293641.2108

Any help to this?

Grab the latest develop. I had the same problem and reported it to @netniV and he fixed something in the Installer code.

Did as you suggested - not better. How would I notify? On GitHub?

Well, you will need to upload the Apache error log, and the install logs. Upload all that here first.

Also SELECT * FROM settings WHERE name LIKE 'install%'
