[SOLVED]Need Suggestions - Cacti 1.2.5 re-install

#1 Post by eholz1 » Wed Aug 07, 2019 5:49 pm

Hello All,
I am confused. I installed a brand new install
on a RH6 server - cacti-1.2.5, spine-1.2.5, rrdtool 1.7.0
php 5.6, mysql5.7

I added 10 devices, some with lots of indexes (like 2000).
This system ran fine for 2 weeks, no warnings, graphs AOK. log file all GREEN.

Then today - all red in the cacti log - PHP errors and possible mysql error.
I could not fix these issues.

I deleted the cacti database, verified config.php and spine.conf.
Then restarted the install process. I added two devices, the local linux machine and
one (1!) router. The router had 5 graphs. After about 30 minutes (maybe sooner) i started getting
poller table not empty warnings! This is for one device!

Do you the forum, have any suggestions as to why this might be? spine seem to be running ok, poller every 5 min.

thanks,
eholz1

Errors like this:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function dsdebug_poller_output() in ...
and CMDPHP errors.

But - my problem is solved - I deleted everything cacti wise. created a new database
for cacti with a different name: was-cactidb, is:newcacti. Ran cacti.sql
Insured that the permissons for rra and log were such that the cacti user could write.

Then set the poller to run every 5 minutes - and quit trying to use 30 sec polling.

Thanks very much for the reply.
