Debian Buster and spine - libmariadbclient18

#1 Post by RPrzemek » Sun Sep 01, 2019 8:26 am

Hello

After upgrading debian to version 10, spine stopped working.
shows:

Code: Select all

./spine: error while loading shared libraries: libmariadbclient.so.18: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
And indeed, for debian 10, there is no libmariadbclient18 package in the repository

Does anyone from the forum have an idea how to deal with this problem?
Will spine be updated to work with debian 10?

Your version of spine should have been updated when the rest of the system was. What version of spine do you have? 'what does the package information say? Did that package get properly updated?

You may want to alternatively download and install spine manually.

I guess this is not with the Debian package, as that is linked against libmariadb3. See https://packages.debian.org/buster/cacti-spine
