I'm a major noob with Linux, and learned there was a dry run flag after I had already run the patch. Oops. I did not find any docs (I am known to be blind at times) indicating which PIA version I should use with my current 0.8.7i installation, so would appreciate any help I can get. Here is a print of the failed patch:

Can I recover from this (no backup, but things do not appear to be broken in Cacti)?
Am I using the wrong PIA version?
Do I need to shut off the cacti service before I apply the patch (major Linux noob here)?
Advice is mucho appreciated.

In this case we strongly recommend using 088a which includes PIA => no hazzle
