Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to dynamically, and via script, set the custom data of a data source (supplemental Data Template Data)?

Now we have a script to create graphs dynamically, but this will search and duplicate everything, by searching for a similar data template, based on the number of values with data fetched by the data input method (another script created to fetch up to 10 values - described bellow). We would like to change this and use predefined templates, instead of looking for one similar, since the old process can cause you to change the graph created every time you create a graph from a new service.

The main problem is that the data input method script used has 2 input fields that need to be filled and that will be used to get data from the MySQL DB that this is consulting. One of the fields is the host_description and the other is the service name (we create a graph per service) and both values are keys to search in the DB.
Our main problem is that we don't know how can we change/give the service name dynamically to the input field, since we created the data source with Custom Data and with both fields. The input for the description is easy to provide, the main issue is the other field...
This filed can be given when we call the script, the main problem is how to change this...

Any ideas? Can this be done?

Cheers,
JT
