multiple IP"s

#1 Post by shahin » Tue Sep 17, 2019 6:05 am

Hi,

I know my question maybe an old topic but I will ask it anyway.
We want to monitor our Firewall with cacti. We hane enable the SNMP on the device. The External NIC of our FW has 5 public IP's. Now When create a graph for the external NIC I can see only one of the IP's.
Is this mean that cacti will monitor only data with taht IP or regardles of IP that we see the cacti will create a graph for data that goes through the external NIC?
When run the verbos query for the nic I can see all of the 5 IP's
Version of our cacti is 8

Thanks

You will see an interface, not individual IPs.

it is still just a single Interface. We are monitoring the interface, it doesn't matter whether it has 0 IPs or 100 IPs assigned to it, the traffic through the interface itself is the same. We show the IP just for reference.

Thank you that has answer my question, That Cacti monitor the NIC and not the IP's of the NIC.
