Yes, the path list did show that MySQL would be installed on C:
BSOD2600 wrote: 2) can you share more details about the specific error which prevented MySQL from starting? C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\data\*.err should contain the details. The my.ini was dynamically created by the MySQL installer apparently based off your system resources. I suspect the innodb_buffer_pool_size was dynamically configured. For example on my test Win2K8R2x64 VM with 2GB, the installer set innodb_buffer_pool_size=238M.
Here's the error log from the initial startup:

The server I used has 8G of memory, with 1.3 Gb used, so why it is failing to allocate 181403648 bytes is a mystery. In the ini file, the innodb buffer pool size was 3Gb with 18 instances so even on a 32 bit version of Windows I would have thought it would be ok. But, as I said, I don't need innodb so I just disabled it. Looking at it now, it may just be a problem with my server. Probably best to disregard my experience unless someone else gets the same result.

Windows error 8 = ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY. Not enough storage is available to process this command.

I'd agree, sounds like there is something else going on with your server.

pepsichanhvn,
Please read through http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11747 and then create a new thread, as your problem is not with the installer.
do the graphs display any data from the device in question?
Is snmp functional on the device?

I tried last version 0.8.8b in my test environment.
I have the mysql on a separate server.
I set properly the authorization on the mysql to get connection from the Cacti server test (with the new version from your installer except mysql).
In the Cacti server i edited the "global" and the "config" file with the correct grant to access the cacti db on the remote server but I get "FATAL: Cannot connect to MySQL server".......
So it seems a connection denied to the db.
Have you any idea to solve step by step and test every step?

I solved in part!!
After rebooting the mysql server finally I was able to connect to it from the cacti server with the cactiuser grant.
After I logged with the browser the upgrade started and completed succesfully (all success).
After that only login page and then auth a blank page, I tried to reboot each server but doesn't happen anymore....only blank page.

Tell me if I have to move the post in the general windows topic or not because it could be a possible issue on the installer.

A PHP issue in the installer?

I saw a lot of post about the blank page but are for old Cacti version and about PHP or MySQL patch/php.ini

Any idea?

Does a phpinfo() page work?
Any errors logged into c:\php\php_errors.txt, windows event logs, IIS logs, mysql error log, etc?

I'll try to get all the log tomorrow.

I tried also a fresh install of your installer in a Windows 2008 X32 system but the setup wasn't able to start the mysql service.

Photo attached.

Why? I see a lot of post about this mysql issue (a problem in .ini file and allocation for innoDB if I'm not wrong)

As I told you an issue with the Inno DB aperture size in my.ini
This is a known issue, but I don't know why at someone goes right and to other goes wrong.

This is the window error:

The description for Event ID 100 from source MySQL cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Shutting down plugin 'INNODB_LOCK_WAITS'

Do you need some additional info?
Is possible to delete o rem the innodb config part in my.ini?

What is the exact wording of the error you're seeing that makes you believe its innodb?
C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL 5.6\Log\*.err should have the details needed.

Should be. Cacti uses MyISAM.

I know that Cacti use MyISAM infact I asked you if it's possible to delete or rem the innoDB part in my.ini
I solved a lot of installation with this trick.
Tomorrow I'll look at the MySQL log file and I'll give you also some link that talk about this installation issue.
