Guys...I've just setup an new Cacti 1.2 install on windows, how can i pull out the original graph templates from the installer and re-import them...
I've installed/imported one or two other templates that overwrote a few graph templates...i'd like to redo them back to original 1.2 state....are they in the install folders somewhere?
Mainly the Windows Template/Disk usage and Interface statistics graphs
Thanks

Check the installs/templates folder for the packages. Use the cli/import_package.php script to import them.

Thanks netniV...I've looked there and it has just the default 5 Device templates...in .gz format. I'm really wanting the default graph templates...or what ever file from install is used to import them?
Thx

Well, Nevermind...After i re-read your post netniV, that's exactly what I needed. Thanks. Worked perfectly.

I ran that cmd against the Windows_device.xml.gz...
fixed my broken templates...or updated them back to default it appers.

Thanks

Yeah I hate that the template system currently makes it so easy to break when user a mods system (also known as cacti group) templates to make things work for themselves, then updates another template which relies on those changes and they get exported with the template, thus when imported over right the good stuff!

One day, we may get to the state of Signed templates so that an author can only modify things that aren't controlled by others, thus prevent one template breaking another. But there are far more important things first and it only takes a few lines to re-import ours.
