New CactiEZ version planned?

#1 Post by FollowMe » Wed Mar 01, 2017 7:56 am

CactiEZ 0.8.8b was released in 2013. Is a new release planned, now that 1.0.4 is out?

Honestly, a new CactiEZ release isn't strictly necessary, I just need to update the RPMs (and I should of updated them all the way to 0.8.8h). The real problem is that it may break peoples installs if automatically updated to 1.0.

So yes, if I can find the time, I may release a new CactiEZ. Probably will base it off of CentOS 7 and stick the 1.0 branch on it. That way people can stand up a new server to test 1.0 without having to break their old install.

When I tried to boot CactiEZ it cannot find my keyboard after the cd boots. Any suggestions?

I would be surprised if there was a new version of CactiEz any time soon. Cigamit has been very busy on moving the core Cacti forward which is taking up most of his spare time.
