Issues installing the Syslog Plugin

#1 Post by gswiney » Fri Jul 07, 2017 7:16 pm

When I try to install the Syslog plugin it give me an error. It requests I rename my config.php.dst file in the syslog directory and change setup your database before installing. Rename the file to what? The second instruction reads like broken English. please help.

If your syslog server is going to be the cacti server, you have to edit that file and tell syslog that. If it's another server, then you have to install the schema manually, and/or setup the connection to it first.
Before history, there was a paradise, now dust.

Nevermind. I renamed it to what.php and it works now. The instructions should be updated to explain that better. Thanks for the help
