Hi, I've come from PRTG but wanted to give Cacti a try! Installation on Windows was quite difficult but I finally got it working... had a few questions that I didn't really know how to go about searching for.

Firstly, is there any way around the draconian user password requirements? Security is not a huge priority for my set up.

Secondly is there any way to create a graph or page that shows a list of interfaces for a device and their current/last polling period bandwidth usage? I've attached a screenshot of what this looked like in PRTG. This was useful to see at a glance if there was any abnormally heavy amounts of traffic on any particular interface at the moment, without having to look at every individual graph.

Thanks for the help!

All security settings can be found in the settings section of cacti. For the graphs, create a tree, add a node header, then add the device or specific graphs. Then you can view these under the Graphs tab at the top.

Thanks for the reply! Completely missed the tabs on the settings page.

Regarding the tree view for graphs I've set up my trees, but I'm particularly interested in the second column that shows the "current" (last reading of average throughput over the measurement period) bandwidth usage. Each individual graph image has this number. Is there a way to show all of them together in a list like the screenshot?

You don't state what version of Cacti you are using, but for this type of data, you would use the ReportIt plugin. Depending on your version, it may already be built in.
