This issue went away on its own??
Hello Experts,

I have a device that used to return results from the generic cacti interface.xml query.
It returned 504 items and 252 rows.

I am experimenting with this device, and deleted the interface.xml query from the device.

Then I added the query back to the device. It no longer queries the device, and returns
no items and no rows. Re-running the query does nothing, and running the verbose refresh does
nothing as well.

Is there some sort of permissions issue here? I tried another device of the same type,
and created a new data query using the interface.xml file, and it returns no data, but has
the correct index count when run in verbose mode. Any Ideas?

Thanks

If this is with your 1.1.37 then I am clueless. If this is after your upgrade, I would look to see if the installer was run under a different user and perhaps the write rights have changed.

You said you deleted the interface.xml query, but do you mean you actually deleted the XML file?

Hello,

I just deleted the query from the cacti device, not the xml file (since it works on other devices).
If it is any help, the device I am trying to get the query to run on on a Juniper MX80.

The interface.xml query works fine on other devices such as routers, switches, etc.

I will try deleting the device and re-adding it, and see if the query finds interfaces.

Thanks,
eholz1

I would do an SNMP walk of the device and make sure that the OID's are available for the network interface (see the interface.xml file for which OID's it is looking for).
